Belnar's marshy, swampy terrain, filled with bacteria and moisture vapor, was ideal for the Khil, who extracted their nourishment from organic debris in the air. To this end, Khil cities on Belnar featured marshy parks in between buildings, serving as conveniently located feeding areas that were also appreciated for their aesthetics. In addition, each individual dwelling also had its own pond or swamp, while the architecture and technology of the world was heavily influenced by Republic sensibilities. The Khil welcomed outsiders, and by 3963 BBY about 2% of Belnar's population was made up of non-Khil. Manaan was an aquatic planet in the Pyrshak system. It was home to the Selkath, an amphibious species. The planet was completely covered in water and was the only known source of the medicinal substance kolto in the galaxy. Controlled by the Rakata during pre-Republic history, it became independent following the collapse of their Infinite Empire. In the years leading up to and during the Jedi Civil War, kolto was so important to the galaxy that the Selkath were able to use their monopoly to enforce their policy of neutrality and autonomy. The only above-surface settlement on Manaan was the floating Ahto City, built above Hrakert Rift, an abundant source of Kolto. Hiding in the depths of the rift lay a station where the Republic was trying to harvest Kolto at its source, aided by rebellious Selkath who saw the evil of the Sith Empire. This station fell in ruins when a Giant Firaxan Shark believed to be the source of Kolto and Selkath on the planet made the Selkath in the station go mad and rapidly kill the rest of the Crew. Eventually, Revan would find one of the star maps leading to the Star Forge. The map completed other maps found on Kashyyyk, Dantooine, Korriban, and Tatooine. During the Jedi Civil War, both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic attempted to get an upper hand in the war by creating secret deals that would give them more kolto. Since the selkath preferred to stay neutral, they did not favor the Republic or the Sith, however some rebelious Selkath did. Ultimately, however, the Selkath banned the Sith from Manaan for trying to overthrow the government.

Known as a world of climatic extremes, Odryn was covered in jungles and mountains, into the sides of which the Feeorin built their settlements. Although commonly believed to be the Feeorin homeworld, the Feeorin's original home was lost—by the time of the Mandalorian Wars, more Feeorin lived on Odryn than anywhere else in the galaxy, and developed an extremely traditionalistic and insular society. Feeorin life on Odryn was largely tribal until the legendary warrior Feln unified the warring villages under his banner, becoming the hallowed Exalted in the process. Feln later left Odryn to train with the Jedi Order, and eventually returned to his homeworld as a Jedi Master and a member of the shadowy Jedi cabal known as the Jedi Covenant. Feln ended up earning the ire of his people by volunteering Odryn's sacred Sanctum of the Exaltedfor Covenant use as a storehouse for Sith artifacts, and was eventually slaughtered by his people after he destroyed the Sanctum in an effort to ensure knowledge of the Covenant's work would not leave the planet.

In response to this political posture, a rebel cell on Onderon, led by siblings Steela and Saw Gerrera, formed with aid from the Jedi. This band of rebels excised the Separatist occupation from the planet, opening the door to joining the Galactic Republic. When Supreme ChancellorSheev Palpatine transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire and declared himself Emperor, the planet was taken over by the Imperials. Description

Peragus II was a planet in the Peragus system of the Outer Rim Territories' Xappyh sector. A major source of low-grade engine fuel, Peragus II was originally a terrestrial world, but it was nearly destroyed hundreds of years before 3959 BBY by the early attempts of miners to siphon off fuel from the planet. A mining accident caused an explosion beneath the crust, blowing a massive hole in the planet and forming an asteroid field around the world. By 3951 BBY, mercenaries and tradesmen constructed the Peragus Mining Facility in the Peragus asteroid field, but both the asteroid field and the station were destroyed when a stray blast during a firefight between the light freighter Ebon Hawk and the Hammerhead-class cruiser Harbinger ignited the fuel in the asteroid field. After the destruction of the asteroid field, no further mining projects were attempted in the ruins of Peragus II.

Sapient Species: 30% Human, 70% other

Government: Republic

Capital: none (Ecumenopolis)

Major Exports: Luxury items, Tehcnology

Major Imports: Food, Raw  materials

Description

Taris was an urban planet in the fifth orbit of its star, located in the Taris system, within the Ojoster sector, of the Outer Rim Territories, in turn Taris was orbited by four moons, including Rogue. The term Tarisian was used to describe people and products from the planet. The planet's ecumenopolis quickly developed over a century of prosperity, and as a result the planet suffered from massive overpopulation. Once a galactic nexus that earned great wealth from its strategic position on hyperspace routes, Taris' importance declined with the discovery of improved trade routes, and the planet rapidly fell into decay. The remainder of the planet's history was wrought with civil disorder and social unrest. As it turned to industry as a means of compensation for its economic troubles, its oceans became polluted, eliminating the planet's main food source. Famine spread among the lower classes while the rich hoarded what few supplies remained. The resulting strife led to the Tarisian Civil War, the start of lasting prejudices between the HumanocentricTarisian nobles and the largely alien underclass. The city became segmented, and the lower classes were banned from living in the upper levels of Taris.

During the Mandalorian Wars, Taris served as a crucial rallying point for dissident Jedi who had decided to fight against the invading Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. As the lower classes were crushed beneath the rich, crime became rampant, and the Tarisian government did little in response. This caused Lhosan Industries, a mining company which employed half of the planet's lower class in its operation, to leave Taris. The millions left unemployed rioted against the government, kidnapping the planet's senator in the Galactic Senate as well as the local constable. This caused the local Jedi to leave Taris as well, leaving the planet in a state of chaos, as the war raged on around it.

By the time of the Jedi Civil War, order had been restored, but swoop gangs and crime still held sway over the Lower City. During the war, Taris was conquered by Darth Revan's Sith Empire, which quarantined the planet in an attempt to capture Jedi Bastila Shan. As the search continued fruitlessly, the Sith leader Darth Malak, ordered the bombardment of Taris, killing countless civilians. This act had huge political repercussions for the Sith and changed the tone of the rest of the war, showing Malak and the Sith's true colors, the desire to achieve victory at any cost.

Over the next few millennia the planet managed to rebuild and recover from its devastation, though never reaching the extent of its former glory. Similar to other ecumenopolies like Coruscant and Nar Shaddaa, the upper levels were safe and secure, inhabited by the wealthy, while the lower levels were frequently plagued by gang warfare and inhabited by thugs and the poor.

During the Great Galactic War, Taris had become the subject to both Jedi and Sith plans; while the Jedi wanted to rebuild the planet to prove to the people of the Republic that they were strong enough to recover from such a disaster, and with it raise morale, the Sith sought to foil their plans, to prove that the Republic couldn't recover from such a thing.

Description

Telos IV, often called simply Telos, was the fourth world within the Telos system, located in the Outer Rim's Kwymar sector. Situated on the strategically important Hydian Way hyperlane, on the edge of Galactic Republic-controlled space, the Telosian military and economic power bases were considered vital to the survival of the Republic. In addition, the planet played host to the Agricultural Corps, where Jedi who had failed their training were sent to work as farmers and laborers. During one of the earliest battles of the Jedi Civil War, Telos was devastated by forces of the Sith Empire. Under orders from Darth Malak, former Republic admiral Saul Karath demanded the planet's surrender; upon being rebuffed, he carried out his orders to bombard the surface. Soon after, the Jedi Order, fearful of an attack on the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine and the possible loss of many valuable relics, chose Telos as the site for a secret Jedi academy and repository. This academy was eventually taken over by the Echani Handmaidens and Jedi Master Atris, from where she hoped to rebuild the shattered Order.

In the year 3955 BBY, at the behest of Republic Supreme Chancellor Tol Cressa, Telos was chosen as the first planet to undergo a Republic-sponsored restoration effort. This initiative, if successful, would pave the way for the restoration of other planets that had been ravaged during the recent Mandalorian Wars and the conflict wrought by Darths Revan and Malak. The Telosian Restoration Project called for the construction of Citadel Station, an immense space station that orbited the planet, to implement the restoration process. Overseen by the Telosian Council, the Ithorian herd of Chodo Habat was chosen to manage the project. Telos and Citadel Station played a crucial part in the Jedi Exile's mission to end the First Jedi Purge, when the station was attacked by Sith forces under Darth Nihilus. In the wake of the battle, the Sith Triumvirate was defeated; this resulted in the eventual stabilization of the Republic. Due in part to the Exile's efforts, the Restoration Project was ultimately successful, and Telos once again became a lush planet, with many Sacred Places and national parks that drew tourists from throughout the galaxy.
